OU Press is proud to announce the publication of the new Chumash Mesoras HaRav on Sefer Shemos. Compiled and edited by Dr. Arnold Lustiger, the Chumash features a commentary based upon the teachings of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik. As is the case with the previous volume, on Sefer Bereishis, Chumash Mesoras HaRav: Sefer Shemos promises readers the intellectual and spiritual enlightenment for which the Rav is famous.
The Rav never wrote a peirush on Chumash but Chumash Mesoras HaRav anthologizes the Rav’s thoughts, drawn from both his published works and unpublished lectures. These ideas are presented as a running commentary alongside the text of the Chumash. The commentary runs the gamut from philosophical insight to Talmudic analysis, with everything in between.
