Avoiding Estate Plan Family Feuds and Other Disasters

35% of adults in the U.S. say they or someone they know experienced familial conflict because an estate plan or will was not put in place. This webinar will focus on the best practices to be employed for estate planning in addition to practical steps in order to avoid family conflict. This program will contain useful information that will aid you to:

• Ensure your final wishes are fulfilled.
• Protect your legacy.
• Avoid family feuds and disgruntled heirs.
• Avoid some major pitfalls that can turn a simple estate plan into a complicated mess.

Presented by Jonathan Gudema, Esq.

Jonathan has over 20 years of experience working with and advising individuals and non-profit organizations on planned gift arrangements and tax-advantaged charitable estate planning options.In addition to being a practicing attorney he has also held senior positions in planned giving at the Anti-Defamation League, United Jewish Communities and Continuum Health Partners where he was responsible cultivating planned gifts and managing their planned giving programs. Jonathan is also the author of The Planned Giving Blog (www.plannedgivingadvisors.com), which provides news and commentary on the field planned.Jonathan earned a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University and a J.D. from Western New England College School of Law. He also spearheads the OU›s efforts to engage donors in legacy giving. He has dedicated over twenty years of his professional career to helping others, including over a decade in nonprofit fundraising. Paul holds a bachelors in business administration and marketing from East Carolina University and a master’s in education from Penn State University.
