Take a Look, It’s in the Book…Torah Insights

Looking for some good Shabbat reading?  Want to learn a little something about this week’s Torah portion but don’t have time to read a long sermon?  Then the Orthodox Union’s new publication is just for you.  Torah Insights is a compilation of divrei Torah from leading thinkers, preachers and writers written on the weekly parshiot and edited by Rabbi Bertram Leff and Yisroel Epstein.  Included in the book are a wealth of insights and interpretations from Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik in the hope of further spreading his teachings.

The collection of short discourses can enrich Shabbat table conversations and serve as a source of ideas for rabbis, teachers, group leaders and anyone who enjoys Torah study.  Rabbi Leff explains, “This book is filled with stories and words of wisdom from today’s most prominent and knowledgeable rabbis as well as men and women who are our children’s leading educators. Whether you are looking for a specific parsha or you just want to browse, the narratives, lessons and insights are enjoyable and educational too.”

For more information, or to purchase Torah Insights, call 212.613.8300.

Rabbi Bertram Leff served as national director of the Orthodox Union’s Synagogue Services until his retirement in 1997.

The Orthodox Union, now in its second century of service to the Jewish community of America and beyond, is the world leader in youth work, advocacy for the disabled, synagogue services, adult education and political action.  Its kosher supervision label,  the , is the world’s most recognized kosher symbol and can be found on over 250,000 products in 68 countries around the globe.
