Something for Everyone at OU
Annual Meet & Learn Night
Young Leadership Singles Division to Host Evening
of Varied Workshops
What do kosher wine connoisseurs, budding comedians, aspiring
artists and Houdini-wanna-bes have in common with finance-savvy professionals
interested in learning about the most profitable investment strategies and Torah scholars
looking to delve into the text of the Passover Haggadah?! The desire to meet their perfect match.
On Wednesday, March 29,
at 7:00 PM, more than 200 single men and women in their 20s, 30s and 40s are expected to
gather at Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun 125 E. 85th Street (between
Park & Lexington Avenues) for this very purpose: Meeting that special someone
and learning something new in the bargain.
Choosing one activity from a potpourri of 9 interactive workshops,
participants will be able to try their hand(s) at circus-style juggling, learn how to
analyze handwriting samples, create their own oil paint masterpiece, discuss the
".com" phenomenon and pick up winning investment tips, play volleyball,
experience the exodus from Egypt through a study of the Haggadah, sample some of the best
kosher liquor or crack a few jokes improv-style.
Following the workshops, all participants will gather for
refreshments and a chance to meet and mingle. Admission is $5.00. (For the oil painting
session, admission is $20).
