Not Sure Where to Meet?
OU Offers Singles Hotel and Restaurant Discounts for Simchat Torah
The allure of coming
to the Upper West Side for Simchat Torah as a single adult is often
tempered by two dilemmas: where to stay and where to eat?
This year the Orthodox
Unions Young Leadership is excited to present a solution that may
solve the problem.
This year, the
OU is offering discounts at two hotels, three nights -- Friday,
October 20-Monday, October 23 -- at either The Hotel Beacon, on 75th
Street and Broadway, or at the elegant, newly renovated Excelsior Hotel on
81st Street between Columbus and Central Park West.
(One-bedroom suites are available.)
Dining includes two
elegant options. Option one
includes Friday night dinner, Shabbat lunch, Saturday night dinner and
Sunday lunch at Levana. Option
two provides Friday night dinner and Shabbat lunch at Darna with Saturday
night dinner and Sunday lunch at Levana.
The meals offer singles an opportunity to meet new people within a
structured framework.
Director of special
programs, Frank Buchweitz explains, This is a very exciting time as we
offer new opportunities and innovative new programs for the young singles
community. The
Simchat Torah program, our first event of the year, will be
sensational, and this is just the beginning.
For information, or
to make reservations for the hotels and/or meals, call 212.613.8300/8351
or the Hotel Hotline, 212.613.8188 during business hours.
Early-bird special rates (for hotel only) are available until
October 2.
In addition, OU Young
Leadership restaurant discount coupons are available for 32 different
restaurants in the metropolitan New York area by calling 212.613.8300. The
OU Young Leadership program has exciting events for single men and women
throughout the year. To
