Finding A Synagogue in the Proverbial Haystack
New Web Site Feature Facilitates Synagogue Search

Going on vacation?  Moving into a new community?  The question is, how do you find an Orthodox synagogue that is in your area and suits your needs?  The answer is, the Orthodox Union’s new website feature that will make this process significantly easier.

The new site, www.ou.org/network, locates Orthodox synagogues using a comprehensive search engine based on location.  Director of Synagogue Services Rabbi Moshe Krupka, explains, “Anyone who logs onto the site can insert a location and receive a listing of the Orthodox shuls in that area.  We believe that this new addition will serve as an essential resource to Jews throughout the country.”

In recent months, the OU has made its website, www.ou.org, more user-friendly by revamping two of its most popular links, the NCSY and IPA pages.  The improved sites provide better graphics as well as a more advanced way to navigate information.   The aim of the reconstruction is to make the abundance of programming, information and opportunities that the Orthodox Union provides more visible and more easily accessed.

The Orthodox Union, now in its second century of service to the Jewish
community of America and beyond, is the world leader in youth work, advocacy for the disabled, synagogue services, adult education and political action.  Its kosher supervision label,  the , is the world’s most recognized kosher symbol and can be found on over 250,000 products in 68 countries around the globe.
