Dear President Biden,
On October 7, Hamas terrorists brutally murdered, raped, and kidnapped Jewish men, women, and children. On this horrific day of wanton violence, Hamas expressed its genocidal drive to kill Jews, a goal that is explicit in its charter.
You immediately recognized that Hamas is the embodiment of pure evil and you strongly supported Israel’s fulfillment of its need to defend itself and its moral obligation to destroy Hamas and to free the hostages.
April 3, 2024, marks 180 days since that horrific day:
· 180 days of the unimaginable torture of those held hostage in Gaza
· 180 days of shockingly increasing antisemitism on the streets and campuses of this country
· 180 days of Israel fighting an enemy that has embedded itself within the civilian population
President Biden, I am writing to ask for your support of Israel to enable it to achieve its goals of effectively eradicating Hamas and securing the release of the hostages.
· Israel and its army are fighting an unspeakably evil enemy, making unprecedented efforts to minimize civilian casualties and maximize humanitarian assistance in Gaza, while doing what they must to eliminate the mortal threat to their citizens. We need you to continue to stand with them.
. We need you to push back against the narrative that is fueling the antisemitism that American Jews face every day. The current antisemitic rhetoric absurdly turns the accusation of genocide against the very people who are trying to defend themselves against a genocidal enemy.
· And we need you – who have been so dedicated to the release of the precious hostages – to increase the pressure to achieve their unconditional and immediate release.
