Applauds Vice President Gore’s Decision to Choose Senator
Joseph Lieberman as Running Mate
The Orthodox
Union would like to congratulate Senator Joseph Lieberman (D-CT) on
being chosen as the vice presidential running mate for the Democratic
party.
Mandell I. Ganchrow,
M.D., President of the Orthodox Union explained, “It is a significant
step for the American political process that Senator Lieberman was chosen
based on his talent and integrity without thought to extraneous matters
such as religion.” The
Orthodox Union wishes Senator Lieberman and his wife, Hadassah, great
success as they bring their message to the forefront of the political
arena.

for Public Affairs, has been pleased to work in partnership with
Senator Lieberman on key issues including support for Israel, education
reform and advocating for morality in the media.
