OU’S RABBI STEVEN WEIL TO VISIT LIVINGSTON AS CONGREGATION ETZ CHAIM SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE, SEPTEMBER 7-8

Rabbi Steven Weil, Orthodox Union Executive Vice President, will visit Livingston as Scholar-in-Residence at Congregation Etz Chaim, on Friday, September 7-Saturday, September 8 (Shabbat Parshat Ki Tavo). The OU member synagogue is located at 304 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue.

At the oneg Friday night, Rabbi Weil will address “The Two Greatest Challenges Facing Modern Orthodox Jewry in the 21st Century.” Shabbat morning, he will discuss “Putting the ‘Fun’ in Dysfunctional.” Following Kiddush on Shabbat afternoon, Rabbi Weil will examine, “Having an Open and Honest Rendezvous with God: The Fascinating World of Rosh Hashana.” Rabbi Weil will also speak during seudat shlishit (the third meal of Shabbat) on “What Does Osama Bin Laden’s Mother Have To Do With Rosh Hashana?”
