DEBBIE AND YITZCHAK FUND OF JERUSALEM TO SERVE AS
CO-CHAIRS OF OU BIENNIAL NATIONAL CONVENTION IN JERUSALEM,
NOVEMBER 22-26, U.S. THANKSGIVING WEEKEND

Debbie and Yitzchak Fund of Jerusalem will serve as co-chairs of the Orthodox Union Biennial National Convention, to be held in Jerusalem, Thanksgiving weekend in the United States, November 22-26. The Convention returns to Jerusalem, where it attracted a capacity attendance of more than 1,000 in 2004.

Mr. Fund is President and Chair of the Seymour J. Abrams OU Jerusalem World Center Commission. The Israel Center, with its wide array of programs for native born Israelis and those who have made aliyah, is located at 22 Rechov Keren Hayesod, in Jerusalem.

“We are excited to serve as co-chairpersons for the Convention,” declared Mr. and Mrs. Fund. “It was extraordinary to see how many Americans decided to spend Thanksgiving in Israel rather than at home in 2004, more than anyone had anticipated when the Convention was scheduled for Jerusalem. Now, in 2006, the OU once again invites its friends to spend Thanksgiving in Israel where the OU has a major presence through the Israel Center and its many programs. Once again, the Convention will be a thoroughly memorable experience for all who participate.”

The Convention program, now in preparation, will include an impressive array of government and rabbinical leaders, Torah study sessions, and pre-and post-Convention tours and programs, in addition to a new resolutions process in which delegates from OU synagogues throughout North America will have a greater role than ever before in setting the OU agenda and policies for the next two years.
