(Hebrew: “mohn”) the miraculous food that was given to the Jewish people when they traveled through the desert for forty years. One of the miraculous characteristics of this food was that, according to the Bible, it did not fall on Shabbat, while a double portion fell on Friday. According to the Midrash, whatever a person liked in terms of food, he or she would taste in the “mohn.”
