Position Summary:
The IT Communications Fellow will own proactive, transparent IT communications to the organization. This role focuses on transforming technical information into clear, accessible content for employees and supporting IT-related reporting and communications initiatives. This will include publishing internal web content, bulletins, alerts, systems and capabilities maps, metrics , and roadmaps.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and manage IT communications, including company-wide emails and the IT newsletter, ensuring clear, consistent messaging and timely distribution.
- Maintain IT Employee Center content by updating and developing instructional materials, ensuring information is accurate, current, and easy for staff to navigate (ex: “How To” guides for logging in, requesting IT services, and troubleshooting common issues).
- Collaborate with IT team members to convert technical concepts into user-friendly language for internal audiences.
- Manage and maintain the IT section of the EVP Report and assist with related content updates as needed.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education or experience in Communications, Technical Writing, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and accurately.
- Comfort working with technology and learning new tools and systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience writing internal communications, documentation, or instructional content.
- Familiarity with content management systems or internal portals.
- Ability to organize information clearly and manage multiple content updates simultaneously.
- A detail-oriented, curious, and collaborative mindset.
