Position Summary:

The JSU Operations & Programs Fellow will support the day-to-day operational, programmatic, and administrative functions of JSU National. This position is ideal for a highly organized and motivated individual interested in gaining practical experience in nonprofit operations, program coordination, and Jewish communal work. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Fellow will assist with global campus management, conference programming support, backend operations, and the development of internal and external organizational assets. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support JSU Global Campus management efforts, including tracking engagement, maintaining databases, and assisting with coordination across regions. 
  • Assist with planning and logistics for JSU programs and convenings, including the JSU Presidents Conference and Aspire.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for program execution, including scheduling, materials preparation, and follow-up. 
  • Support backend accounting and finance-related processes, such as expense tracking, invoice organization, and budget support, in coordination with senior staff. 
  • Assist in the development and organization of marketing, fundraising, and communications assets, including presentations and one-pagers. 
  • Help maintain internal systems for reporting, data management, and documentation. 
  • Conduct background research on initiatives or topics relevant to JSU’s growth and strategy. 
  • Support projects and special initiatives assigned by the Executive Director or senior staff. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides. 
  • Familiarity with or interest in the Jewish nonprofit or communal sector. 
  • A proactive and reliable work style, with a willingness to learn and take initiative. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with administrative, operations, or program coordination work. 
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets, budgets, or basic financial tracking. 
  • Experience developing presentations and basic marketing materials 
  • Familiarity with Jewish campus life or national Jewish organizations.
