Position Summary:
The Events Coordinator Fellow is an entry-level operations role designed to build real project management and operational skills in a mission-driven organization.
The fellow reports to the Managing Director of Operations and works closely with the Development and Marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
Event Operations & Execution

Own logistics for assigned national NCSY and JSU events and retreats
- Support on-site event operations, including occasional travel and non-standard hours
Project Management & Coordination
- Manage event timelines, task tracking, and follow-ups using established tools and processes
- Coordinate across internal teams to ensure deadlines and details are aligned
- Learn to identify potential risks early and escalate issues with context and suggested next steps
Communication & Documentation
- Maintain accurate event documentation and shared files
- Serve as a point of coordination for internal stakeholders before and during events

Support post-event wrap-up, including internal summaries
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple moving pieces at once
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and consistent follow-through
- Comfort learning and using digital tools for task tracking, documentation, and coordination
- Ability to receive feedback, adjust quickly and ask clarifying questions
- Alignment with NCSY’s mission and comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Travel & Schedule Expectations
- Travel is required for select national NCSY and JSU events and retreats, approximately 6–10 times per year
- Travel may include weekends and non-standard hours during peak event periods
- Time off is flexed around event and fellowship travel in coordination with the Operations team
