Biography
Rifki Freundlich is the Rebbetzin of Congregation TBDJ in Montreal where she has lived with her husband, Rabbi Yechezkel, and their children since 2016. Rifki taught Tanach to high school girls for many years in Atlanta , Georgia and currently teaches at the Hebrew Academy of Montreal. After teaching brides and guiding women of all backgrounds in their observance of Taharas Hamishpacha for eighteen years, Rifki completed the curriculum of study and was certified as a Yoetzet Halacha through Nishmat’s Miriam Glaubach Center in 2019.
Michal Horowitz has a Bachelor of Science from combined studies at York University, Toronto, and Brooklyn College, and she has a Masters of Science from Brooklyn College, NY. Mrs. Horowitz offers weekly classes and shiurim at many venues in her home community of the Five Towns, NY, and the greater NY area. Additionally, she is a speaker at Yeshiva University’s Midreshet Yom Rishon and has been a featured speaker for the last four years at the YU RIETS Shavuos Yarchei Kallah program. Mrs. Horowitz is a featured speaker on the Speakers Bureau of the Orthodox Union (OU). She has been a guest lecturer and scholar in residence in schools and communities, both nationally and internationally. Michal lives in Woodmere, New York, with her husband and children.
Aviva Orlian grew up in Baltimore, MD. She earned her BS in communication sciences and disorders from Towson State University and her MS in speech-language pathology from Brooklyn College. She teaches a weekly Tanach class to women in Monsey, NY, and has also been lecturing, giving shiurim and been a featured speaker for various community-wide women’s programming for the past 20 years. Most recently, Mrs. Orlian served as a presenter for the OU Women’s Initiative Simchat Torah program and taught Sefer Shmuel II to over 4,000 women worldwide as part of the Torat Imecha Nach Yomi program. Aside from her love and passion for teaching Torah, Mrs. Orlian is a full-time practicing speech-language pathologist. Mrs. Orlian lives in Monsey with her husband and children. Aliza Weinberg has been teaching Tanakh to high school and middle school students for over two decades. After spending ten years teaching Tanakh and working on curriculum at the Ramaz Upper School, Aliza moved to Bergen County, NJ where she taught 8th grade Chumash and Navi at Yeshivat Noam and developed an enrichment Tanakh program for the Yeshivat Noam Middle School. For the past five years, Aliza has been teaching Tanakh at Yeshivat Frisch and also serves as an Israel Guidance Counselor for the young women. Beyond the classroom, Aliza is a sought-after speaker for adults and has presented shiurim in many institutions throughout the United States. She has also taught adult education “mini-series” courses at her local shuls and schools. Aliza received her BA in both political science and Judaic studies from Stern College for Women and has completed coursework for her MA in Judaic studies at the Bernard Revel Graduate School. Aliza resides in Bergenfield, New Jersey with her husband and children.
Tzivi Zuckerman holds an MA in Jewish History, and taught World History, Jewish History and Tanach for almost 15 years at a variety of schools, including Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls, Michlalah Jerusalem College, Bais Yaakov of Baltimore and Columbus Torah Academy. Since moving to Columbus, Ohio, where her husband is the assistant rosh kollel of the Columbus Community Kollel, Tzivi has taught a range of classes on Taharas HaMishpacha, relationships and Jewish thought and is currently the director of an initiative that creates programming and educational opportunities for the city’s Jewish women.
