Biography
Rebbetzin Sara Frieberg is the Coordinator of Women’s Engagement at the Young Israel of Hollywood- Ft. Lauderdale. She received her BA in Judaic Studies from Stern College for Women and her MA in Bible from the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Yeshiva University. Sara began her teaching career as a Beit Midrash Fellow at SAR High School in Riverdale, NY. She then spent a few years in Israel teaching at Midreshet Emunah v’Omanut, learning at Nishmat and completing a 2-year Rebbetzin Training Program at the YU-CJF Midrashiya. After returning to the US, Sara served as the Coordinator of Admissions, Marketing and Special Events at Bnei Akiva School. She then served as the Co-Director of the OU Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (JLIC) with her husband, Rabbi Adam Frieberg at Rutgers University. In 2017, Sara and her family moved to Hollywood, Florida where she and her husband serve as Assistant Rabbi and Rebbetzin. In her capacity of Coordinator of Women’s Engagement, Sara created the Eishet Chayil Initiative, a six-month program providing communal events for women which blend Torah perspectives with matters of time management, financial health, mental health, physical health and wellness, leadership and spirituality. This program was selected by the OU Women’s Initiative as a recipient of the Challenge Grant in 2018. Subsequently, Sara served as a coordinator for the Women’s Initiative Create and Connect Program in which she guided women in communities across the US to create similar programming in their communities.
