NCSY Lands in Park City Utah
NCSY welcomes Park City, Utah as the newest chapter on the west coast for 2021. Park City hosted two representatives from the Jewish youth groups NCSY and JSU. Nearly twenty five Park City children and teens attended, were extremely excited, engaged and enthusiastic. Parents expressed interest in consistent youth activity and even adult programming of this nature servicing the Park City area.
“We’re so excited to launch programming for Jewish teens – high schoolers and middle schoolers – in the skiing capitol of Park City, Utah. We may have a small sized Jewish community, but we’re planning to go big on the snow covered slopes to the dirt coated hiking and biking trails…uniting Jewish youth from all backgrounds, one chairlift at a time.” says Jodi Berris, whose vision and leadership had brought JSU and NCSY to the Bee Hive state.
It is abundantly clear that we are ready to start consistent, in-person programs for all. While the State’s newly heightened alert level prevents personal events for the time being, we are planning a strong start early in 2021 we will be ready to open fully with our NCSY/JSU Park City chapter.
“NCSY/JSU will be taking a holistic approach, understanding the unique exigencies of the community creating programming not only for the youth but for the adults as well.” says Rabbi Yehuda Maryles, Southern District Manager.
