OU Political Pro Howie Beigelman to Speak at 3 L.A. Shuls, Aug 13

ORTHODOX UNION POLITICAL PRO TO SPEAK IN THREE LOS ANGELES SYNAGOGUES AUGUST 13, SHABBAT NACHAMU

Howie Beigelman, Director of State Affairs for the Orthodox Union’s Institute for Public Affairs (IPA) | Jewish Political Affairs, will be the speaker when the OU’s West Coast Region presents an OU/IPA Shabbaton in Los Angeles, the Shabbat of August 13, Shabbat Nachamu.

Mr. Beigelman, a political professional with experience in government, campaigns and advocacy, will speak at three OU member synagogues over the course of Shabbat day. On Shabbat morning he will be at Young Israel of North Beverly Hills, discussing “Why Moses Would Be Disappointed in Your Lobbying.” He will give a shiur prior to Mincha at Young Israel of Century City on “Political Scandal in the Bible: Lessons for Us.” He will then return to Beverly Hills to speak at the Seuda Shlishit at Beth Jacob Congregation.

“The work of the IPA is so vital to the values that define our organization,” declared Rabbi Alan Kalinsky, OU West Coast Regional Director. “Howie Beigelman and the IPA are the face of the OU to many press and political outlets and they bring our message to them in a clear and cogent manner.
