Barry Berkowitz, a proud alumnus of NCSY and Camp Sports, helped ring the NASDAQ Closing Bell last month with the head of YouTube and this year\u2019s top YouTube Stars. Berkowitz is a member of Google\u2019s Investor Relations team and grew up in East Meadow. He attended his first NCSY Shabbaton in sixth grade and was immediately hooked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI look back with very fond memories of NCSY,\u201d Berkowitz said. \u201cIt was the highlight of my high school experience, especially coming from a public school environment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rabbi Yehoshua Marchuck, director of NCSY Alumni Connections and former regional director of Long Island Junior NCSY, said he wasn\u2019t surprised by Barry\u2019s amazing success.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was obvious from Barry\u2019s Junior NCSY days that his enthusiasm for leadership and his desire for growth in Judaism would propel him to the greatness he\u2019s seeing today as both a professional at Google and leader in his Jewish community,\u201d stated Rabbi Marchuck.<\/p>\n

Berkowitz continues to support NY NCSY from his home in California and he recently took NCSY Summer participants on a tour of Google headquarters. He was profiled in last year\u2019s issue of NCSY\u2019s Ignite Magazine. Read the story here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
