These easy to create, hands-on treats are based within context of weekly Torah portion for children of all ages and stages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>Edible Parsha<\/i> is a creation by Batya Jacob, director of the International Jewish Resource Center for Inclusion and Special Education, a division of Yachad\/NJCD.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In this <i>parsha<\/i>, Yaakov runs away from his home to escape the anger of Yaakov.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He stops to rest and during the night dreams that there is a ladder from where he lays reaching to Heaven.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Angels are going up and down the ladder. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He takes 12 small stones for a pillow but when he awakens the stones have formed into one rock.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-38349 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ou.org\/life\/files\/pretzel-ladder-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"pretzel ladder\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ou.org\/life\/files\/pretzel-ladder-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ou.org\/life\/files\/pretzel-ladder.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-38350\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ou.org\/life\/files\/mini-marshmallows-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"mini marshmallows\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ou.org\/life\/files\/mini-marshmallows-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ou.org\/life\/files\/mini-marshmallows.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><i>2 pretzel rods<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>10 pretzel sticks<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>12 mini marshmallows<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>1 large marshmallow<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>Gingerbread boy cookie<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>Cookies shaped as people (if desired)<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Form the ladder with the two rods as the upper beams and the ten sticks as the steps.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Place the 12 mini marshmallows at the bottom.
