I&#8217;ve got your back on this one. You can, of course, take your favorite mom, mom figure or important woman in your life out to stand in line to wait way too long to eat because you forgot to make a reservation, or you can score some major points with a quick trip to the grocery store for ice cream (and flowers and gift certificates or if it\u2019s a mega grocery\u2014a blender or food processor to help make the \u201cpresent\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>As for the ice cream, I\u2019m not talking about a huge calorie-loaded extravaganza or even a recipe that calls for bunches of ingredients and lots of prep time. I\u2019m suggesting recipes that call for 3 to 5 ingredients and can be made with frozen yogurt, lactose-free or non-dairy substitutes and non-dairy \u201cmilks\u201d if lactose intolerance or allergies are a worry.<\/p>\n<p>The following milkshake recipes offer even the most cooking- impaired individuals a way to say \u201cI love you mom\u201d and they give new meaning to \u201csharing the love.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Lemon Strawberry\u00a0Shake<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>4 servings<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ingredients<\/span>:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><em>1 pint vanilla ice cream, softened<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u00bd cup whole milk<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 lb.\u00a0strawberries, sliced<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 Tablespoon lemon zest<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>2 teaspoons lemon juice<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Instructions<\/span>:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In a blender combine the ice cream, lemon zest and milk and process until smooth. Divide between 4 glasses.<\/li>\n<li>Add the strawberries and lemon juice and process until combined.<\/li>\n<li>Divide the strawberry mixture between the 4 glasses and gently swirl it into the milkshake.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>My files source unknown<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Banana\u00a0Split Shake<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>2 servings<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ingredients<\/span>:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><em>4 Tablespoons fudge sauce<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 banana, diced<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u00bc cup chocolate ice cream<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u00bc cup strawberry ice cream<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u00bc cup vanilla ice cream<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 cup milk<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Can of whipped cream (optional)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 Tablespoon chopped walnuts or pecans<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>2 maraschino cherries<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Fudge sauce for garnish<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Instructions<\/span>:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In each of 2 tall glasses, place 2 Tablespoons fudge sauce, half of the diced banana, 2 mini scoops chocolate ice cream, and 2 mini scoops strawberry ice cream.<\/li>\n<li>In blender, combine vanilla ice cream and milk and blend until mixture is smooth.<\/li>\n<li>Add mixture to glasses; top each with whipped cream and, if you like, walnuts and a cherry, then drizzle with fudge sauce.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>This recipe can be doubled.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Modified from Good Housekeeping&#8217;s Blend It! cookbook<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Chocolate Bourbon Milkshake<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>2 servings<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ingredients<\/span>:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><em>1\u00bd cups vanilla ice cream<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u00bd cup milk<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 teaspoon vanilla<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>2 oz. bourbon<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u00bd cup hot fudge plus 2 Tablespoons<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Instructions<\/span>:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>At the bottom of each glass, spoon 2 to 3 Tablespoons of hot fudge.<\/li>\n<li>In a blender, combine the milk, ice cream, vanilla, bourbon and about 1\/4 cup of hot fudge.
