Pavement, sentiment, sacrament, firmament;<\/p>\n
Asphalt, whose fault? Double fault but never<\/p>\n
Falter<\/p>\n

More is the city:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Some of brick and stone<\/p>\n
But the ones of which we speak \u2013<\/p>\n
Flesh and blood<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Man \u2013 a city, a world, a universe…<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And if the cities in which we live<\/p>\n
Need direction, law and order,<\/p>\n
How much more so the cities which<\/p>\n
Live in us<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Judges and officers

Shall you appoint
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
In all your cities<\/i><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In all your cities, at all you gates:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Gates, city gates:<\/p>\n
Gates let things in<\/p>\n
Gates let things out;<\/p>\n
Gates allow the world inside<\/p>\n
To affect the world outside;<\/p>\n
And the outside world to<\/p>\n
Affect the inside world\u2026<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Gates to your heart, gates to your mind \u2013<\/p>\n
Walk with a gait, smile in gaiety, gated<\/p>\n
On your nerves<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
These shall be guarded, controlled<\/p>\n
By you, lest they be guarded, controlled<\/p>\n
By something, someone else \u2013<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Law & Order:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
You shall appoint judges and officers to these gates \u2013<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Judges: decree and decision, through analyzing the situation,<\/p>\n
Hearing the testimonies and understanding the circumstances;<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Officers: fulfilling, implementing the decree, the decision by<\/p>\n
Determination, grit, strength and pure will power\u2026<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If judgment, clarity, education does not lead to action<\/p>\n
Then something is not right. Because we live in a world<\/p>\n
Sometimes antithetical to righteous judgment, a world<\/p>\n
Where our purity is covered in soot, we need officers,<\/p>\n
People of action to actually shake off the dust, move<\/p>\n
Away the accumulated dirt, blow on the tiny glimmer<\/p>\n
Of spark so that the flame will arise and the light and<\/p>\n
Warmth will turn the cold and dark city into a place called<\/p>\n
Home.<\/p>\n

Every day is judgment day in the home court,<\/p>\n
The most supreme court of all supreme courts \u2013<\/p>\n
After all, this one is created in the divine image.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
(The day you stop evaluating is the day the jury is hung.)<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
There is a judge that presides over a kangaroo court<\/p>\n
And one that presides over a food court and still another<\/p>\n
Presiding over and under a tennis court.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This judge presides over the most supreme<\/p>\n
Sublime, superior court of all \u2013 the court called<\/p>\n
Man<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
So all rise for the Honorable You,<\/p>\n
Presiding over the most supreme court of all \u2013<\/p>\n
