In definitive prose, a journey is going from one place<\/p>\n
To another, usually with a few stops in between and<\/p>\n
Hopefully fewer obstacles. Be it the journey from<\/p>\n
Child to man, from mind to heart, from exile to<\/p>\n
Freedom, follower to leader, one must leave what<\/p>\n
Was behind so that one can find what is ahead.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Throughout there are guideposts, lighthouses, right<\/p>\n
Decisions and wrong turns, miles upon miles of asphalt<\/p>\n
And abrupt dead-ends, long stretches of wasteland where<\/p>\n
No man dwells and short stretches of in-density where too<\/p>\n
Many stick their unwanted opinions into others\u2019 privacy \u2013<\/p>\n
Such is the nature of the journey and its traveler: at times<\/p>\n
A struggle<\/p>\n
But never a helpless one!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The point of it all, of any healthy journey, is growth,<\/p>\n
Ascent: achieving something otherwise unachievable.<\/p>\n
Of course some \u2013 if not most \u2013 would rather sit tight<\/p>\n
And not journey altogether but (thank G-d) we don\u2019t<\/p>\n
Always get what we want and some journeys are<\/p>\n
Inevitable, the only variable \u2013 what we are gonna do<\/p>\n
About it (and, sometimes, the weather).<\/p>\n

With broken wheels and handles; things essential<\/p>\n
However, like our souls and holiness, remain with<\/p>\n
Us throughout, even and especially in the wilderness<\/p>\n
And darkness.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And while journeying in the wilderness, though we remain<\/p>\n
People of the portable, not setting roots but carrying them<\/p>\n
Along so that when we reach our destination they shall be<\/p>\n
Stronger than ever, nevertheless, the presence of our roots<\/p>\n
And fruit has a most-positive affect on the barren earth, even<\/p>\n
Dropping seeds as we move along.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They shall carry the curtains of the
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
Mishkan<\/u> and the Ohel Moed<\/i><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Today, in exile, we haven\u2019t a physical<\/p>\n
Tabernacle but as we journey through<\/p>\n
Our wildernesses and deserts, as we move<\/p>\n
Closer and closer, we carry the spirit<\/p>\n
Of the Divine resting place with us,<\/p>\n
Within us, each one of us counted<\/p>\n
Because each one of us is a home<\/p>\n
For G-d, illuminating even the darkest<\/p>\n
Wilderness.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And when we carry such holiness, when<\/p>\n
We move with such purpose, it moves<\/p>\n
Us as well, lifts us up even as we lift it.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It isn\u2019t words that move but actions:<\/p>\n
Enough ink \u2013<\/p>\n
