Come upon a fork in the road:<\/p>\n

To the right:<\/p>\n
A path running through angelic paradise<\/p>\n
Birds chirping and colorful flowers without<\/p>\n
Those absurd vowel names; thought streams and<\/p>\n
Heart bridges run in and around each other<\/p>\n
Like a-maze-meant sans hyphened-confusion.<\/p>\n
Dewy waterfalls gift wrapped in soft clouds<\/p>\n
And rain bows clear and innocent like a bride\u2019s<\/p>\n
Veil<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To the left:<\/p>\n
A path dense with disappointment and sick with<\/p>\n
Cynicism; thorns protrude from prickly thoughts<\/p>\n
And brambles stuck on calloused feelings;<\/p>\n
Overgrown weeds wag gnarly fingers at small<\/p>\n
Frightened children and undergrown cacti<\/p>\n
Sniff their bulbous snots in bitter disapproval<\/p>\n
At life in general and at truth in particular<\/p>\n
Disdain<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Let us go for a walk, you and I:<\/p>\n
Perhaps a stroll in the park;<\/p>\n
Perhaps a stumble in the dark.<\/p>\n
Who knows?<\/p>\n
Only we.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
(We all walk the walk<\/p>\n
Just some with a stride<\/p>\n
Others with a limp \u2013<\/p>\n
Some with a purpose<\/p>\n
Others with a cane)<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We journey along many paths:<\/p>\n
Sometimes down logical paths;<\/p>\n
Sometimes up emotional paths.<\/p>\n
Sometimes we travel in (and with) packs \u2013 socio paths.<\/p>\n
Sometimes we travel alone in our own minds \u2013 psycho paths.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Come upon a fork in the road \u2013 which way to go?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If you walk in My statutes
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
And observe My commandments
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
And perform them<\/i><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
There are many logical paths,<\/p>\n
Paths that depend on our hearts<\/p>\n
And how our cerebral roads twist<\/p>\n
And turn. High roads and low roads,<\/p>\n
Beaten and unbeaten, one track, two track,<\/p>\n
Or abstract paths. But the question is:<\/p>\n
Does the path make us or do we make the path?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Path Illogical \u2013 walk not because it\u2019s sensible;<\/p>\n
Walk because it\u2019s love and love is senseless.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
My statutes\u2026 My commandments \u2013<\/i><\/p>\n
Torah and Mitzvahs:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We don\u2019t study to pass a test or graduate;<\/p>\n
We study because it is who and what we are.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We don\u2019t do what is right (only) when it makes sense;<\/p>\n
Things make sense (only) when we do what is right.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
If you walk in My statutes<\/i><\/p>\n
Says the Talmud: not \u201cif\u201d<\/p>\n
But \u201cplease, I beg of you\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I beg of you walk on My path<\/p>\n
So that I may walk with you.<\/p>\n
And I will walk among you
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
And I will be G-d unto you<\/i><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We arrive at our destination<\/p>\n
When we journey with our destiny.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The end of the journey rooted<\/p>\n
In the beginning of the path:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In the beginning:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He called to Moshe\u2026
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
When you wish to come close\u2026<\/i><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
(We must wish, pray to come close<\/p>\n
And then:)<\/p>\n

These are the commandments
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
That G-d commanded Moshe
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
To the Children of Israel on
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
Mount Sinai<\/i><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
(Then we shall come to the Mountain and<\/p>\n
Walk in the way of the commandments,<\/p>\n
Coming closer with every step)<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Let us talk the talk and walk<\/p>\n
The walk<\/p>\n
Hand in hand with the Divine<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Be strong! Be strong! And may we be strengthened!<\/p>\n
