Mediocre instruments tend to play mediocre songs.<\/p>\n
Bland words tend to tell bland stories.<\/p>\n
And mundane people tend to perform mundane acts.<\/p>\n

We are mundane actors playing on a mundane stage \u2013<\/p>\n
And though the script may be a work in progress,<\/p>\n
Progressively digressing, depressingly repressing,<\/p>\n
Our roles are invariably closer to earth than heaven,<\/p>\n
More cosmetic than aesthetic \u2013<\/p>\n
Minimally inspiring; maximally re: tiring.<\/p>\n

The only difference between the mundane and the profane<\/p>\n
May be that the latter is pro something.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Okay, perhaps the mundane is not as sacrilegious as the profane<\/p>\n
But, really, were we born to live mundane lives, to worship<\/p>\n
Mediocrity, to be just another dot-commoner in the world wide<\/p>\n
Commonwealth, living in a house of the commons?<\/p>\n

As anti-establishment as it may sound \u2013<\/p>\n
I think \u2013 and hope \u2013 not.<\/p>\n

Holy shall you be
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
For holy am I<\/i><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Holy script and description;<\/p>\n
Holy verse and versatility.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To be holy \u2013 to be removed,<\/p>\n
To be beyond, uninfluenced<\/p>\n
By the pet peeves or pettiness<\/p>\n
Of the mundane universe; to be<\/p>\n
Separated from all things separating;<\/p>\n
To be independent of all things de<\/p>\n
Pendent on pendants and pendulums,<\/p>\n
Transcending all those things wavering<\/p>\n
And twisting in the wind like confused<\/p>\n
Dreams come upon a fork in the road and a<\/p>\n
Knife in the heart.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But how to be holy in an unholy world?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We cannot earn it with our talents nor can<\/p>\n
We find it in our wallets; not with long white<\/p>\n
Beards or gilded walking sticks, multi-colored<\/p>\n
Prayer shawls or multi-faceted worship robes<\/p>\n
Do we become holy. Oh no \u2013<\/p>\n
Things superficial could never contain, retain things super.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
For holy am I<\/i><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We are holy because<\/p>\n
He is holy, and He made us holy.<\/p>\n
Sometimes we forget it but that<\/p>\n
Only means that when we remember<\/p>\n
It we will appreciate it more.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A new movement: Removement.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Let us remove ourselves from everything mediocre, mundane<\/p>\n
Let us remove everything mediocre, mundane from the world<\/p>\n
So that everything unique, pure, holy can shine forth.<\/p>\n
A removement.<\/p>\n

There is only one Holy of Holies<\/p>\n
But many holies, people wholly holy,<\/p>\n
Completely beyond the foolish, totally<\/p>\n
Deeper than the deepest cracks and holes,<\/p>\n
(Black holes, bullet holes, watering holes)<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Holiness!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Not the condescending<\/p>\n
\u201cHolier than thou\u201d insecurity,<\/p>\n
But the \u201cthou art holy\u201d<\/p>\n
Simply because we come from<\/p>\n
And are connected to a holy place<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Thou art holy so holy be:<\/p>\n
Thou art holy \u2013<\/p>\n
Not because thou art better<\/p>\n
But because thou art<\/p>\n
Drawn with holy paint<\/p>\n
And by a holy painter \u2013<\/p>\n
The Holy One<\/p>\n
Blessed Be.<\/p>\n

So holy be,<\/p>\n
Blessed be.<\/p>\n
