Blue lips being gnawed on by frostbite<\/p>\n
With an insatiable appetite.<\/p>\n

Stone-cold hearth\u2019s pop-cycle frozen in time;<\/p>\n
Diamond stars of frosty Heaven-Up \u2013<\/p>\n
Ice-cubes in the flat Coke of night.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It is way below zero in this tundra optimists call World<\/p>\n
And, to a certain degree, it\u2019s got nothing to do with temperatures<\/p>\n
Or wind-chill factors and everything to do with cold hard facts:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
People turn cold shoulders and flash icy stares.<\/p>\n
Some have licenses to chill while others have the sensitivity of<\/p>\n
A snowman.<\/p>\n
Everyone\u2019s part of this shiver ring; it\u2019s only that the privileged get to<\/p>\n
Mask theirs behind the shudders of big mansions with bigger heating bills<\/p>\n
While the unprivileged chatter away in the honesty of their cardboard boxes.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We live in a cold, dark world<\/p>\n
But does a cold, dark world live in us?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
An eternal fire shall blaze
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
Upon the altar
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
It shall not go out<\/i><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We are born sanctuaries; a holy fire burning<\/p>\n
Eternally, continually, perpetually upon our altar<\/p>\n
Our external altar, an altar the whole world can see<\/p>\n
(Perhaps even on our alter ego).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But, as the hour moves on, it seems as though the warmth<\/p>\n
Moves on with it \u2013 as if the last tired head has nodded off<\/p>\n
And now there\u2019s no one left to add wood to the campfire.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But eternity never nods off \u2013 it merely dreams:<\/p>\n
Eternal dreams, dreams of fortune and flame<\/p>\n
When never again will someone shiver<\/p>\n
Never again will anyone freeze<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
There are fires that burn things down, down to the ground.<\/p>\n
And there are fires that burn things up, up to the heavens.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Some fires turn matter into ash.<\/p>\n
This fire turns matter into spirit.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Many fires char the forests and scorch the wildernesses.<\/p>\n
This fire blazes a path straight through to the Promised Land.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Many fires blister the skin and brand the mind.<\/p>\n
But this fire, o this fire<\/p>\n
Melts the coldest of hearts and thaws the most cynical of minds.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This fire may be kept in, but it\u2019ll never go out.<\/p>\n
This fire may come in; it\u2019ll never be kept out.<\/p>\n
A good deed is the difference between a cold carcass and a warm smile.<\/p>\n
A flame is the difference between a cold hearth and a fireplace.<\/p>\n
An eternal flame that shall never go out \u2013<\/p>\n
Is the difference between a frozen body and a passionate soul.<\/p>\n
