Now a cold slab of metal<\/p>\n
Clanking against the steel ribcage<\/p>\n
Of an unforgiving coffin.<\/p>\n

Complete it was; now broken.<\/p>\n
Once delicate porcelain;<\/p>\n
Now a million sharp razors<\/p>\n
Ripping into flesh like snide remarks.<\/p>\n

Golden heart to golden calf \u2013 don\u2019t even say it.<\/p>\n
Shh, bite your golden tongue.<\/p>\n
And when one (thing) breaks another follows;<\/p>\n

Such is the nature of the golden beast:<\/p>\n
Thrown from the shepherds hands a dream<\/p>\n
Shatters against the mountain;<\/p>\n
A vow broken; a marriage void:<\/p>\n
Earth no longer welcome in Heaven\u2019s home;<\/p>\n
Heaven no longer seen at Earth\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

But the wise say nothing is as complete as a broken heart<\/p>\n
And the cracks in the wall are just so that the light can get in.<\/p>\n
Clich\u00e9s indeed. Clich\u00e9s are true. Otherwise they\u2019d be lies.<\/p>\n

They came with all that\u2019s gold;<\/p>\n

Some gold is beyond jewelry; even hearts.<\/p>\n
Some gold is much deeper than a mine…<\/p>\n

We are two halves of one shekel \u2013<\/p>\n
Only together complete.<\/p>\n

Than the half shekel <\/i>\u2013<\/p>\n

In this relationship it doesn\u2019t matter<\/p>\n

All that\u2019s needed here is your soul, like a<\/p>\n
Type of flaming coin, to burn with passion,<\/p>\n
To burn and forge any crack in any heart.<\/p>\n
