{"id":10206,"date":"2006-09-06T03:57:00","date_gmt":"2006-09-06T03:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/production.ou.org\/life\/other\/bread_pudding\/"},"modified":"2017-04-12T01:14:01","modified_gmt":"2017-04-12T06:14:01","slug":"bread_pudding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ou.org\/life\/food\/recipes\/bread_pudding\/","title":{"rendered":"Bread Pudding Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>About 6 servings<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/span><b>:<\/b><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><em>1 loaf stale sliced white bread<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>4 Tablespoons (\u00bd stick) margarine<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>\u00bd cup golden raisins<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 cup sugar<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>3 large eggs, beaten<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>2 cups Pareve milk<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>2 Tablespoons vanilla extract<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 teaspoon ground cinnamon<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/span><strong>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease with margarine 3-quart casserole dish.<\/li>\n<li>Butter (with margarine) both sides of bread slices, place on tin foil, and put into oven. Toast slices on both sides.<\/li>\n<li>Place raisins in bowl of hot water to plump. Cover, soak for 20 minutes, and drain.<\/li>\n<li>Combine sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix well.<\/li>\n<li>Break up toasted bread, and put in casserole dish. Add drained raisins. Pour egg mixture over bread, and stir.<\/li>\n<li>Bake 40 minutes.
