On Sunday, September 22nd, KFL and Tomchei Shabbos of Queens partnered together to run activities as part of the children’s programming at Torah New York at Citi Field.

Mr. Aron Katz, Co-Director of TSQ, and Rivka Lederman, volunteer at TSQ, spoke to the children about Tomchei Shabbos and the need for food donations for families in Queens.

They explained how families and children rely on weekly packages delivered to their homes by volunteers. They connected the programming to the 10-12 year old participants through an activity, packaging breakfast foods and snack in to brown paper bags they decorated in advance of Rosh Hashana. These packages will be delivered this week before Shabbos.

Kosher Food Lifeline works to support pantries like Tomchei Shabbos of Queens throughout the country.
