This way, if he wakes up before \u05e2\u05dc\u05d5\u05ea \u05d4\u05e9\u05d7\u05e8, he may eat.<\/li>\n<li>The fast begins at \u05e2\u05dc\u05d5\u05ea \u05d4\u05e9\u05d7\u05e8, which according to many opinions is 72 minutes before \u05e0\u05e5 \u05d4\u05d7\u05de\u05d4, and according to others is a little earlier than that.<\/li>\n<li>When one wakes up early to eat before a fast, or for that matter on any day, he may not eat \u05d4\u05de\u05d5\u05e6\u05d9\u05d0 or \u05de\u05d6\u05d5\u05e0\u05d5\u05ea unless he begins eating at least 31 minutes before \u05e2\u05dc\u05d5\u05ea.<\/li>\n<li>An individual davens \u05e9\u05d7\u05e8\u05d9\u05ea as he would on any ordinary day.<\/li>\n<li>During \u05d7\u05d6\u05e8\u05ea \u05d4\u05e9&#8221;\u05e5, the \u05d7\u05d6\u05df inserts the \u05d1\u05e8\u05db\u05d4 of \u05e2\u05e0\u05e0\u05d5 between the \u05d1\u05e8\u05db\u05d4 of \u05d2\u05d5\u05d0\u05dc \u05d9\u05e9\u05e8\u05d0\u05dc and the start of \u05e8\u05e4\u05d0\u05e0\u05d5.<\/li>\n<li>After \u05d7\u05d6\u05e8\u05ea \u05d4\u05e9&#8221;\u05e5, selichos \u2013 which are found in the back of the \u05e1\u05d9\u05d3\u05d5\u05e8 \u2013 are recited.<\/li>\n<li>\u05d0\u05d1\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5 \u05de\u05dc\u05db\u05e0\u05d5 is recited.<\/li>\n<li>Next is \u05d5\u05d4\u05d5\u05d0 \u05e8\u05d7\u05d5\u05dd.<\/li>\n<li><em>Lein<\/em> \u05d5\u05d9\u05d7\u05dc \u05de\u05e9\u05d4.<\/li>\n<li>Some have a \u05de\u05e0\u05d4\u05d2 to recite \u05e4\u05e8\u05e7 \u05db\u05d1 of \u05e1\u05e4\u05e8 \u05ea\u05d4\u05dc\u05d9\u05dd on \u05ea\u05e2\u05e0\u05d9\u05ea \u05d0\u05e1\u05ea\u05e8, and afterwards make requests of &#8216;\u05d4.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u05ea\u05e2\u05e0\u05d9\u05ea \u05d0\u05e1\u05ea\u05e8<\/strong><strong> \u2013 Monday Afternoon<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When the \u05d1\u05d9\u05ea \u05d4\u05de\u05e7\u05d3\u05e9 is standing there was\/will be an obligation upon each male 20 and older to give a \u05de\u05d7\u05e6\u05d9\u05ea \u05d4\u05e9\u05e7\u05dc, a half-shekel. This \u05de\u05d7\u05e6\u05d9\u05ea \u05d4\u05e9\u05e7\u05dc was\/will be used by \u05d4\u05e7\u05d3\u05e9 to pay for the \u05e7\u05e8\u05d1\u05e0\u05d5\u05ea \u05e6\u05d1\u05d5\u05e8, communal \u05e7\u05e8\u05d1\u05e0\u05d5\u05ea.<\/li>\n<li>In today\u2019s times, as a \u05d6\u05db\u05e8, a remembrance, for the \u05de\u05d7\u05e6\u05d9\u05ea \u05d4\u05e9\u05e7\u05dc, three half-dollar coins are given in its place to \u05e6\u05d3\u05e7\u05d4. Therefore, men under the age of 20 and women, who were not counted in the census, are not obligated in this \u05de\u05e0\u05d4\u05d2. Fathers who customarily donate a \u05de\u05d7\u05e6\u05d9\u05ea \u05d4\u05e9\u05e7\u05dc for each child should continue doing so each year. There are usually plates of money set up on\/near the \u05d1\u05d9\u05de\u05d4 of the shul. Some of the plates have three half-dollars in them. One should exchange his money for these coins, lift up the coins, and then place these coins back on the plate for \u05e6\u05d3\u05e7\u05d4. One does not have to specifically put his own half-dollars into a plate which says \u201c\u05de\u05d7\u05e6\u05d9\u05ea \u05d4\u05e9\u05e7\u05dc\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u05de\u05e0\u05d7\u05d4<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>After \u05d0\u05e9\u05e8\u05d9, <em>lein<\/em> \u05d5\u05d9\u05d7\u05dc \u05de\u05e9\u05d4 and \u05d4\u05e4\u05d8\u05e8\u05d4.<\/li>\n<li>During \u05e9\u05de\u05e2 \u05e7\u05d5\u05dc\u05e0\u05d5 add \u05e2\u05e0\u05e0\u05d5, if you are fasting.<\/li>\n<li>Those who daven Nusach Ashkenaz substitute \u05e9\u05d9\u05dd \u05e9\u05dc\u05d5\u05dd for \u05e9\u05dc\u05d5\u05dd \u05e8\u05d1.<\/li>\n<li>Since \u05ea\u05e2\u05e0\u05d9\u05ea \u05d0\u05e1\u05ea\u05e8 is a &#8220;mukdam,&#8221; \u05ea\u05d7\u05e0\u05d5\u05df and \u05d0\u05d1\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5 \u05de\u05dc\u05db\u05e0\u05d5 <strong><u>are<\/u><\/strong> said.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u05e4\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd<\/strong> <strong>\u2013 Motzei Shabbos<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On Shabbos, one may not prepare in any way for \u05e4\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd, including bringing Purim-related items to shul even though there is an \u05e2\u05d9\u05e8\u05d5\u05d1.<\/li>\n<li>Daven \u05de\u05e2\u05e8\u05d9\u05d1.<\/li>\n<li>One should wear his Shabbos clothes for the \u05de\u05d2\u05d9\u05dc\u05d4<\/li>\n<li>Once \u05e9\u05d1\u05ea is over one may not eat until after \u05d4\u05d1\u05d3\u05dc\u05d4, which is typically performed after \u05e7\u05e8\u05d9\u05d0\u05ea \u05d4\u05de\u05d2\u05d9\u05dc\u05d4.<\/li>\n<li>Recite \u05d0\u05ea\u05d4 \u05d7\u05d5\u05e0\u05e0\u05ea\u05e0\u05d5 as every \u05de\u05d5\u05e6\u05d0\u05d9 \u05e9\u05d1\u05ea. Recite \u05e2\u05dc \u05d4\u05e0\u05e1\u05d9\u05dd in the \u05d1\u05e8\u05db\u05d4 of \u05de\u05d5\u05d3\u05d9\u05dd. If one forgets \u05e2\u05dc \u05d4\u05e0\u05e1\u05d9\u05dd in any \u05e9\u05de\u05d5\u05e0\u05d4 \u05e2\u05e9\u05e8\u05d4 on \u05e4\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd, then before \u05d9\u05d4\u05d9\u05d5 \u05dc\u05e8\u05e6\u05d5\u05df, he should say &#8216;\u05d4\u05e8\u05d7\u05de\u05df \u05d4\u05d5\u05d0 \u05d9\u05e2\u05e9\u05d4 \u05dc\u05e0\u05d5 \u05e0\u05e1\u05d9\u05dd \u05d5\u05d2\u05d5, together with \u05d1\u05d9\u05de\u05d9 \u05de\u05e8\u05d3\u05db\u05d9 \u05d5\u05d0\u05e1\u05ea\u05e8. If totally forgotten, \u05e9\u05de\u05d5\u05e0\u05d4 \u05e2\u05e9\u05e8\u05d4 need not be repeated.<\/li>\n<li>\u05e7\u05d3\u05d9\u05e9 \u05e9\u05dc\u05dd is recited after \u05e9\u05de\u05d5\u05e0\u05d4 \u05e2\u05e9\u05e8\u05d4.<\/li>\n<li>\u05d1\u05e8\u05d5\u05da \u05d4\u05d5\u05d0 \u05d5\u05d1\u05e8\u05d5\u05da \u05e9\u05de\u05d5 is not said during the recitation of the three \u05d1\u05e8\u05db\u05d5\u05ea of the \u05de\u05d2\u05d9\u05dc\u05d4.<\/li>\n<li>Do not read the words along with the \u05d1\u05e2\u05dc \u05e7\u05d5\u05e8\u05d0.<\/li>\n<li>To aid concentration, it is best to use your finger to follow along with the \u05d1\u05e2\u05dc \u05e7\u05d5\u05e8\u05d0. An added benefit of following along with your finger is that if you lose concentration, as long as your finger was on the place, you are definitely \u05d9\u05d5\u05e6\u05d0.<\/li>\n<li>After the <em>leining<\/em> of the \u05de\u05d2\u05d9\u05dc\u05d4 is completed, there is a pause, as the \u05d1\u05e2\u05dc \u05e7\u05d5\u05e8\u05d0 does not recite the \u05d1\u05e8\u05db\u05d4 of \u05d4\u05e8\u05d1 \u05d0\u05ea \u05e8\u05d1\u05e0\u05d5 until he rolls up his folded \u05de\u05d2\u05d9\u05dc\u05d4.<\/li>\n<li>After the \u05d1\u05e8\u05db\u05d4 of \u05d4\u05e8\u05d1 \u05d0\u05ea \u05e8\u05d1\u05e0\u05d5, the poem \u05d0\u05e9\u05e8 \u05d4\u05e0\u05d9\u05d0 is recited, followed by \u05e9\u05d5\u05e9\u05e0\u05ea \u05d9\u05e2\u05e7\u05d1.<\/li>\n<li>Recite \u05d5\u05d9\u05d4\u05d9 \u05e0\u05d5\u05e2\u05dd and \u05d5\u05d0\u05ea\u05d4 \u05e7\u05d3\u05d5\u05e9.<\/li>\n<li>Afterwards, the \u05d7\u05d6\u05df recites \u05e7\u05d3\u05d9\u05e9 \u05e9\u05dc\u05dd without \u05ea\u05ea\u05e7\u05d1\u05dc.<\/li>\n<li>Recite \u05e2\u05dc\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5.<\/li>\n<li>Recite the regular \u05d4\u05d1\u05d3\u05dc\u05d4; besamim and a flame are used.<\/li>\n<li>One should eat a \u05e1\u05e2\u05d5\u05d3\u05ea \u05de\u05dc\u05d5\u05d4 \u05de\u05dc\u05db\u05d4.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u05e4\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd<\/strong><strong> \u2013 Sunday Morning<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Daven \u05e9\u05d7\u05e8\u05d9\u05ea with \u05e2\u05dc \u05d4\u05e0\u05e1\u05d9\u05dd.<\/li>\n<li>Many shuls have a \u05de\u05e0\u05d4\u05d2 to say the \u05e7\u05e8\u05d5\u05d1\u05e5 during \u05d7\u05d6\u05e8\u05ea \u05d4\u05e9&#8221;\u05e5. The \u05e7\u05e8\u05d5\u05d1\u05e5 is a paragraph inserted before &#8216;\u05d1\u05e8\u05d5\u05da \u05d0\u05ea\u05d4 \u05d4 at the end of almost every \u05d1\u05e8\u05db\u05d4 of \u05e9\u05de\u05d5\u05e0\u05d4 \u05e2\u05e9\u05e8\u05d4.<\/li>\n<li>The \u05e7\u05e8\u05d9\u05d0\u05ea \u05d4\u05ea\u05d5\u05e8\u05d4 of \u05d5\u05d9\u05d1\u05d0 \u05e2\u05de\u05dc\u05e7 is read. (This is the shortest <em>leining<\/em> of the entire year, just nine \u05e4\u05e1\u05d5\u05e7\u05d9\u05dd.)<\/li>\n<li>According to many \u05e4\u05d5\u05e1\u05e7\u05d9\u05dd one can fulfill the \u05de\u05e6\u05d5\u05d4 of \u05d6\u05db\u05d9\u05e8\u05ea \u05e2\u05de\u05dc\u05e7 with this <em>leining<\/em>. The \u05d1\u05e2\u05dc \u05e7\u05d5\u05e8\u05d0 should make this announcement prior to <em>leining<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>When hearing \u05e9\u05d4\u05d7\u05d9\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5 before the \u05de\u05d2\u05d9\u05dc\u05d4, one should have in mind not only the \u05de\u05e6\u05d5\u05d4 of \u05de\u05e7\u05e8\u05d0 \u05de\u05d2\u05d9\u05dc\u05d4, but also the other three \u05de\u05e6\u05d5\u05d5\u05ea of the day: \u05de\u05ea\u05e0\u05d5\u05ea \u05dc\u05d0\u05d1\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5\u05d9\u05dd, \u05de\u05e9\u05dc\u05d5\u05d7 \u05de\u05e0\u05d5\u05ea, and the \u05e1\u05e2\u05d5\u05d3\u05ea \u05e4\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd.<\/li>\n<li>After the \u05d1\u05e8\u05db\u05d4 of \u05d4\u05e8\u05d1 \u05d0\u05ea \u05e8\u05d1\u05e0\u05d5, recite just \u05e9\u05d5\u05e9\u05e0\u05ea \u05d9\u05e2\u05e7\u05d1 (not from \u05d0\u05e9\u05e8 \u05d4\u05e0\u05d9\u05d0).<\/li>\n<li>Finish \u05e9\u05d7\u05e8\u05d9\u05ea.<\/li>\n<li>The \u05de\u05e6\u05d5\u05d5\u05ea of \u05e1\u05e2\u05d5\u05d3\u05ea \u05e4\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd and \u05de\u05ea\u05e0\u05d5\u05ea \u05dc\u05d0\u05d1\u05d9\u05d5\u05e0\u05d9\u05dd \u2013 monetary gifts to two different \u05e2\u05e0\u05d9\u05d9\u05dd \u2013 must be done during the day.<\/li>\n<li>Very important for Mesivta\/High School age <em>bochurim<\/em> to remember to give \u05de\u05e9\u05dc\u05d5\u05d7 \u05de\u05e0\u05d5\u05ea \u2013 two food items to one person \u2013 on \u05e4\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd day, as it is very common for boys that age to forget.<\/li>\n<li>One should set a time for learning \u05ea\u05d5\u05e8\u05d4, as the \u05d2\u05de\u05e8\u05d0 (\u05de\u05d2\u05d9\u05dc\u05d4 \u05d8\u05d6:) says, \u05d0\u05d5\u05e8\u05d4 \u05d6\u05d5 \u05ea\u05d5\u05e8\u05d4.<\/li>\n<li>It is most practical to daven \u05de\u05e0\u05d7\u05d4 before the \u05e1\u05e2\u05d5\u05d3\u05d4. Regardless, one should not daven while intoxicated.<\/li>\n<li>Eat the \u05e1\u05e2\u05d5\u05d3\u05ea \u05e4\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd. The prevalent \u05de\u05e0\u05d4\u05d2 is to start the \u05e1\u05e2\u05d5\u05d3\u05d4 in the afternoon and to extend the \u05e1\u05e2\u05d5\u05d3\u05d4 past nightfall into \u05e9\u05d5\u05e9\u05df \u05e4\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd.<\/li>\n<li>The \u05e8\u05de&#8221;\u05d0 says one fulfills \u05e2\u05d3 \u05d3\u05dc\u05d0 \u05d9\u05d3\u05e2 by drinking more wine than usual and getting drowsy.<\/li>\n<li>If one forgot \u05e2\u05dc \u05d4\u05e0\u05e1\u05d9\u05dd during <em>bentching<\/em> of the \u05e1\u05e2\u05d5\u05d3\u05ea \u05e4\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd, or any other meal on \u05e4\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05dd, he should add &#8216;\u05d4\u05e8\u05d7\u05de\u05df \u05d4\u05d5\u05d0 \u05d9\u05e2\u05e9\u05d4 \u05dc\u05e0\u05d5 \u05e0\u05e1\u05d9\u05dd \u05d5\u05d2\u05d5, together with \u05d1\u05d9\u05de\u05d9 \u05de\u05e8\u05d3\u05db\u05d9 \u05d5\u05d0\u05e1\u05ea\u05e8. If one completely forgot \u05e2\u05dc \u05d4\u05e0\u05e1\u05d9\u05dd, he does not need to repeat <em>bentching<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>When <em>bentching,<\/em> even after nightfall, one recites \u05e2\u05dc \u05d4\u05e0\u05e1\u05d9\u05dd. However, if one already davened \u05de\u05e2\u05e8\u05d9\u05d1, then he does not recite \u05e2\u05dc \u05d4\u05e0\u05e1\u05d9\u05dd.<\/li>\n<li>Daven \u05de\u05e2\u05e8\u05d9\u05d1.
