The beginning of the Haggadah says we eat matzah to remember what our ancestors ate in Egypt. Rabban Gamliel gives a completely different reason &#8211; when our ancestors were\u00a0<strong>freed<\/strong> they didn&#8217;t have time for the dough to rise.<\/p>\n<p>On Rosh Chodesh Nisan Bnei Yisrael were commanded to eat matzah on Pesach. If the reason for matzah is because the dough didn&#8217;t have time to rise if they received the commandment earlier and made the matzah earlier (they didn&#8217;t make the matzah on the night of Pesach)!<\/p>\n<p>Egg matzah can&#8217;t be used for the seder because it&#8217;s not lechem oni. What about the rest of the holiday?
