The Electrifying Revelation of Chasam Sofer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Rama quotes the Tur who writes that those who are machmir increase in seudah on Purim Katan and ends off Orach Chaim with the verse &#8220;\u05d5\u05d8\u05d5\u05d1 \u05dc\u05d1 \u05de\u05e9\u05ea\u05d4 \u05ea\u05de\u05d9\u05d3&#8221; &#8211; the good of heart are always in a party-like state.<\/p>\n<p>What is the significance of the Rama beginning Orach Chaim with \u05e9\u05d5\u05d9\u05ea\u05d9 \u05d4 \u05dc\u05e0\u05d2\u05d3\u05d9\u00a0<strong>\u05ea\u05de\u05d9\u05d3<\/strong> and ending Orach Chaim with \u05d5\u05d8\u05d5\u05d1 \u05dc\u05d1 \u05de\u05e9\u05ea\u05d4 <strong>\u05ea\u05de\u05d9\u05d3<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p>The Chida: the two constants for a Jew should be that Hashem is always before us and that should give us a more positive and happy outlook.<\/p>\n<p>What is the nature of the obligation to have a seudah on Purim Katan vs. Shushan Purim?<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Chatam Sofer: The source for celebrating Purim is a kal v&#8217;chomer: if we celebrate when we were freed from slavery &#8211; i.e. Pesach &#8211; surely we should do so when our lives were saved. If so, celebrating Purim is a \u05d3\u05d0\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05d9\u05ea\u05d0 and when it comes to a \u05d3\u05d0\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05d9\u05ea\u05d0 we say \u05d6\u05e8\u05d9\u05d6\u05d9\u05df \u05de\u05e7\u05d3\u05d9\u05de\u05d9\u05df. Thus, celebrating Purim Katan is a \u05d3\u05d0\u05d5\u05e8\u05d9\u05d9\u05ea\u05d0!
