SUMMARY:SPIRIT: Ahava Ehrenpreis\, "On My Own...But Not Alone"
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, March 11\, 2025\, 12 noon EST \n“On My Own…But Not Alone”\nAhava Ehrenpreis\, nee Sperka\, a Detroit native who now calls New York home\, was married to world-renowned mathematician\, Dr. Leon Ehrenpreis z”l\, and is a mother and grandmother. She taught English and Judaic studies at the college level for many years but now is a full-time freelance writer. She has gained an active following for her many first-person essays and articles that appear regularly in various Jewish publications\, indeed\, the responses to her articles on facing life’s challenges prompted her to write this book. As a parent of a child with special needs and actively writing on that topic for many venues\, she wrote “More Than Special\, Perspectives from the World of Special Needs\, (Artscroll/Shaar Press)\, 2020. It was also the impetus for her children’s book\, “My Special Uncle\,” (Mosaica Press\, 2022)\, which was written to dispel the anxiety that young children (and some adults) may experience when dealing with individuals with cognitive or emotional issues. \nClick here for the zoom link to register and receive the recording after the program. \nClick here to order “On My Own…But Not Alone”  by Ahava Ehrenpreis \nThis program is dedicated to the memories of Moshe Ben Dov Ber (a”h) and Shayna Mirel bas Aharon (a”h) (Melvin and Mirele Steinig) \n  \nCORPORATE SPONSORS:   \nMEMORY MATTERS — https://renayudkowsky.com/signature-course/ \nCAPITIL REAL ESTATE — https://capitil.com/ \nMEDICARE INSURANCE SPECIALIST — https://www.65andready.com/ \nFORSPANKLEAR\, LLP — https://www.forspanklear.com/ \nWINSTON WEALTH ADVISORS — https://www.winstonwealthadvisors.com/ou-spirit \nSCHWARTZ BROTHERS JEFFER/SINAI CHAPEL/PARKSIDE MEMORIAL CHAPELS — https://www.dignitymemorial.com/funeral-homes/forest-hills-ny/schwartz-brothers-jeffer-memorial-chapels/4131 \nCITIZENS BANK — https://lo.citizensbank.com/nj/woodcliff-lake/david-siegel \nJRESPONDER — https://www.sosresponder.com/ \nKORINSKY & KLEIN\, LLP —  https://www.kklawfirm.com/ \nLET’S GET ORGANIZED — https://lgorganized.com/ \n____________________________________________________________________ \nWe have created a new SPIRIT website with archives and upcoming programs!
