Mazkeret Batya

Wednesday, February 27th

8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Led by Sam Finkel author of a comprehensive book on the history and importance of the city.

The founders of Mazkeret Batya were the first professional farmers in the land in the late 1800’s.

We will visit the museum and see the slide show, stop at the beautiful synagogue built by Baron de Rothschild in 1925 and view a stunning video about their strict Shemita observance.

We will also be visiting Machon Ayalon, near Rehovot, to see the secret of ammunition production under the eyes and noses of the British soldiers. You will see and understand how a bakery and laundromat were a cover-up for the manufacture of vitally needed ammunition supplies back in the pre-state days. The ingenuity of those early pioneers was truly amazing!

Promises to be an exciting day!
