SUMMARY:SPIRIT: Dor L’Dor: Jewish Resilience as a Pathway to Lifelong Brain Health & Prevention
DESCRIPTION:Dor L’Dor: Jewish Resilience as a Pathway to Lifelong Brain Health & Prevention \nThe Dor L’Dor model—six pillars embedded in Jewish living that support resilience of the mind and spirit across the lifespan: Kehilla\, Torah\, Neshama\, Shabbat\, Chessed\, and Mesorah\, will be shared. We’ll connect these pillars to what research suggests protects brain health in later life—through community\, lifelong learning\, meaning\, restorative rhythm\, kindness\, and intergenerational connection. The session will be practical\, hopeful\, and grounded in familiar Jewish experience. \nPresented by Dr. Rachel Goodman \nDr. Rachel  Goodman is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience in providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment to a variety of populations. She is a member of the Ordres des Psychologues du Quebec\, the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick\, and the College of Alberta Psychologists. Dr. Goodman has more than 25 years of experience with areas of expertise including the evaluation and treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders\, stress\, trauma and PTSD\, ADHD and neurocognitive disorders\, caregiver stress\, and memory wellness. She has a passion for and has spent much of her career working with Holocaust survivors and their families as she the daughter and granddaughter or Survivors. \nClick here to register for the Zoom link for online participation and/or to receive the recording following the program. \nThis  SPIRIT program is dedicated to the memories of Moshe Ben Dov Ber (a”h) and Shayna Mirel bas Aharon (a”h) (Melvin and Mirele Steinig) \n  \nCORPORATE SPONSORS:   \nMEMORY MATTERS — https://renayudkowsky.com/signature-course/ \nCAPITIL REAL ESTATE — https://capitil.com/ \nMEDICARE INSURANCE SPECIALIST — https://www.65andready.com/ \nFORSPANKLEAR\, LLP — https://www.forspanklear.com/ \nWINSTON WEALTH ADVISORS — https://winstonwealthadvisors.com/ou/ \nSCHWARTZ BROTHERS JEFFER/SINAI CHAPEL/PARKSIDE MEMORIAL CHAPELS — https://www.dignitymemorial.com/funeral-homes/forest-hills-ny/schwartz-brothers-jeffer-memorial-chapels/4131 \nFIRST ISRAEL MORTGAGES:  https://www.firstisrael.com/ \nJRESPONDER — https://www.sosresponder.com/ \nKORINSKY & KLEIN\, LLP —  https://www.kklawfirm.com/ \nLET’S GET ORGANIZED — https://lgorganized.com/ \n____________________________________________________________________ \nWe have created a new SPIRIT website with archives and upcoming programs! SUMMARY:SPIRIT: Soulful Passage: An End-of-Life Doula Training and Self-Exploration Journey
DESCRIPTION:Soulful Passage: An End-of-Life Doula Training and Self-Exploration Journey \n  \nPresented by Chanie Mandel\, an End-of-Life Doula \nJoin Chanie Mandel for an insightful talk on a compassionate approach to end-of-life care. She developed the Soulful Passage curriculum and has trained six cohorts over the last 3 years\, globally\, via zoom. As we age\, we are often called upon to act as caregivers for loved ones and sometimes we are even drawn to walk alongside friends who are going through a medical crisis. Discover how Soulful Passage can shift your own perspective on these challenges. You will learn that speaking openly about a topic that is often considered taboo inspires greater preparedness – for yourself and those you choose to support.
