John Schoppmann\, NYPD SHIELD “Countering Terrorism through Information-Sharing” Counterterrorism Division – New York City Police Department \nSgt. John Schoppmann is a 20-year veteran of the NYPD with prior experience in fire service\, emergency medical services\, and mental health/ peer support. He has been a supervisor since 2007 and assigned to the NYPD Counterterrorism Division since 2010. His first decade in the Division was within the training section\, supervising and presenting a myriad of terrorism-related topics. He currently serves as a supervisor in NYPD Shield\, a public-private sector partnership (P3)\, which collaborates with various heads of security around NYC and with law enforcement entities around the globe.
