DESCRIPTION:Actively Engaging Women at the Orthodox Union – from Women’s Branch to the Women’s Initiative \nJoin us for a fascinating dialogue with Rebbetzin Dr. Adina Shmidman and Mrs. Nancy Klein \n  \nRebbetzin Dr. Adina Shmidman is a dynamic community leader and teacher for more than two decades in New York\, Alabama\, and Pennsylvania. She received a doctorate in Educational Psychology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.  Dr. Shmidman serves as the founding director of OU Women’s Initiative as well as the rebbetzin of the Lower Merion Synagogue of Bala Cynwyd\, PA. She and her husband are the proud parents of four sons. \n  \nMrs. Nancy Klein served as president of the Women’s Branch of the Orthodox Union and later as  Administrator\, writing programming for its Sisterhoods.  She is the daughter of Elizbeth Klein Isaacs\, Dean of Students at Stern in its early years\, and Moses L. Isaacs\, who was the Dean of Yeshiva College for many years. Mrs. Klein is a graduate of Barnard College and has been a “professional volunteer” for most of her life.  She and her husband\,  Sidney a”h\, have three sons\, and a daughter\, 19 grandchildren\, and\, at last count\, more than 60 great-grandchildren.
