How we deal with our challenges is a significant yardstick for how the community buys in to what we are doing. When I say \u201cissue\u201d it of course can range from mostly anything to \u2013 \u201cshul is too cold\u201d or \u201cthe office staff never welcomes me.\u201d Whatever the problem is \u2013 no matter how large or how small \u2013 there must be a simplified strategy or approach when dealing with the concern. Just recently I read \u201cMeasure What Matters\u201d by John Doerr. As a separate blog post I want to share some of the research of this book. It\u2019s quite fascinating and may help us measure our shul\u2019s growth. But in going through the book, Doerr tangentially shares his three stage process for dealing with challenges.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Solve a problem<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Build a simple product<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Talk to your users<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\" align=\"justify\">Wow! Incredible. So simple, yet so elegant.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" align=\"justify\">Let\u2019s use a quirky example.
