About this community

Houston is one of the top destinations for Orthodox families looking to relocate. They are attracted to the superb Torah infrastructure, strong job market and relatively low cost of living. Our demographics are diverse, from large numbers of young families to retirees and empty nesters.

Houston offers an array of chinuch options for children: 3 Day Schools, 1 girls high school, 1 Yeshiva boys high school, and 1 coed high school. There are 3 mikvaot, and 4 eruvin. With 8 restaurants, 6 supermarkets offering Kosher sections, 2 bakeries, and 5+ caterers, there’s plenty to eat!.

Houston has 7 diverse shuls, including Bellaire Jewish Center, Beth Rambam, Chabad, The Meyerland Minyan Synagogue; Torah VaChessed, Young Israel and United Orthodox Synagogue (UOS), The Kollel of Houston Torah Center, outreach organizations (Torch, J-Hype, and Lubavitch), and NCSY and Bnei Akiva for youth.
