Located on the southern shore of the Raritan River in central New Jersey, East Brunswick is a warm, vibrant community of 47,000 residents. Families and young professionals are attracted to our suburban lifestyle within easy traveling distance of New York City and Philadelphia. The township operates two park-and-rides with rush-hour service to Manhattan, and East Brunswick is a short drive from three rail stations. The community is centrally located to many top-flight companies and institutions, including Rutgers University, Johnson & Johnson, Bristol-Myers Squibb, RWJ Barnabas Health, Ernst & Young, Prudential, and Princeton University.

The Young Israel of East Brunswick is home to 220 families enjoying the “one shul” Modern Orthodox community led by Rabbi Efrayim Unterman. There is ample and affordable housing, including rental apartments, within walking distance of YIEB. Homes start around $400K with three and four bedrooms.

School options abound in East Brunswick, home to the Netivot Montessori Yeshiva and Chai Early Childhood Center, as well as Hatikvah International Academy, the state’s only Hebrew-language charter school. Mem­bers attend numerous high schools throughout New Jersey.

East Brunswick offers public resources for people of all ages, including a public library and Playhouse 22, a community theater; we are also a short drive from the State Theatre and Zimmerli Art Museum in New Brunswick. The township maintains 17 parks including Crystal Springs Waterpark, our very own aquatic center with pools and slides.
