Linden, NJ United States

About this community

Linden is often referred to as “Sunnyside,” and is a beautiful, peaceful area with many parks and playgrounds, including our ‘Shabbos Park’, where the community gathers on summer afternoons before heading to Mincha. Linden’s only Modern Orthodox synagogue, Congregation Anshe Chesed, is over 100 years young. Blessed with over seventy children under Bar/Bat Mitzvah, our kids’ Shabbas experience includes learning and davening in supervised groups. We offer weekly shiurim and special events for all the chagim. Linden is a growing community in which you can make lifelong friends and be part of something nothing short of incredible.

Linden offers true convenience, sporting a beautiful new mikvah and large eruv. It is nearby to kosher restaurants and supermarkets, and filled with businesses offering a variety of job opportunities. There are six Jewish preschool-through-8th grade schools, five high schools and daycare facilities. Recreational facilities within twenty minutes include hiking trails, picnic areas, ice skating rinks, indoor playing areas, spray grounds, golf courses, swimming pools, and three malls.

Linden is only 40 minutes from NYC and easily accessible via car, train and bus. Right off Exit 136 on the Garden State Parkway and Exit 13 on the NJ Turnpike, we are only a heartbeat away from Teaneck, Brooklyn, Queens and NYC, easily making Linden one of the most centrally located cities in NJ.

Low property taxes, 3- and 4- bedroom colonial houses starting at only $250K and 2-bedroom apartments starting at $1400/month make Linden one of the most affordable cities in NJ.
