Rabbi Yosef Zvi Rimon is an internationally acclaimed posek, author, educator, and lecturer. For Rav Rimon, innovation in Torah and chesed come hand in hand. Rav Rimon is Rosh Yeshiva of Lev Academic Center (JCT), as well as the community rabbi of Alon Shvut South.
In 2008, Rav Rimon founded Sulamot in order to innovate the way that Jewish education is taught and studied both inside the classroom and in the home, making it accessible, inspiring, and empowering to children and adults in hundreds of communities and schools across the globe.
Rav Rimon is the founder and chairman of La’Ofek (formerly JobKatif), which has enabled more than 2,650 individuals to break the ceiling of poverty and enjoy financial security, including former residents of Gush Katif, Ethiopian-Israelis, needy soldiers and discharged lone soldiers, and youth at risk.
In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Rav Rimon was awarded the Katz Prize in 2018 for the application of halacha in modern society, the President’s Prize for Volunteerism in 2008, and the Moskowitz Prize for Zionism in 2014 for his revolutionary chesed initiatives.
