Rabbi David Pardo is the Managing Director of Torah Initiatives - the OU's department for increasing access to and quality of Torah learning available to Orthodox adults in North America - and the Executive Director of NextDor, a growing professional community of Orthodox Jews. He left a career in finance at Merrill Lynch in Beverly Hills to pursue his passion of community building, creating contexts and infrastructures for people to live their best Jewish lives. He was previously the Executive Director of Bring Israel Home, the Director of JLIC at Brandeis University, and an educator and organizer at a number of college and post-college level program in Israel, Canada, and America. He also served as the spiritual leader of a growing Sephardic congregation in North Jersey. Rabbi Pardo has a BA in Economics from UCLA, rabbinic ordination from YU, and an MBA in Social Impact from Brandeis, and lives in New Jersey with his wife — a talented local educator — and their four awesome kids.
