That Winter Holiday That Falls on the 25th

You all know the one we mean – Chanukah, which starts on the 25th of Kislev! (This year, that translates to the night of December 16.)

Since Kislev began, we’ve been amping up Chanukah content on OU Holidays. Currently-featured articles include “The Message of the Chanukah Lights” by Rabbi Yosef Grossman, “Latkes and Donuts: ‘Oil’ You Ever Wanted to Know” by Rabbi David Bistricer, “Musical Origins of Maoz Tzur” by Cantor Bernard Beer, and “What is Chanukah?” by Rabbi Jack Abramowitz (i.e., yours truly).

Additionally, be sure to read up on Burn and Scald Prevention, as it pertains specifically to Chanukah.

There’s LOTS more. We’ll be featuring different articles over the next few weeks but you can browse OU Holidays and find literally dozens of articles and shiurim on everybody’s favorite winter holiday!
