Uber has dismissed a London driver for refusing to accept Jewish passengers. The driver, identified only as “Ahmed,” refused to pick up two men wearing yarmulkes after they were matched with him by the Uber app.

The driver “turned around, and as he drove past us, said ‘I don’t take Jews,’” one of the men told the Jewish Chronicle. Ahmed then canceled the booking on the app.

An Uber spokesperson said that the company “does not tolerate any form of discrimination.” The driver was removed from the app and reported to the London Metropolitan Police.
