At the OU we were extremely privileged to enjoy a visit from HaRav Noson Tzvi Finkel shlita, Rosh HaYeshiva of the Mirrer. The Rosh Yeshiva attended as part of the Harry H. Beren ASK OU Outreach Program, which has invited a number of prominent rabbonim to address the kashrus staff at the OU.
Rav Finkel was joined by Rav Binyomin Carlebach from Mir Yerushalayim, who likewise addressed the OU Kashrus staff. OU halachic posek Rav Yisroel Belsky and CEO of OU Kashrus Rabbi Menachem Genack also shared brief words with the crowd.
Such visits represent an important part of the OU’s continuous interaction with all parts of our community. Rabbi Yosef Grossman, Senior Educational Rabbinic Coordinator of OU Kashrus said that, “Rav Finkel joins Rav Shmuel Kaminetsky, Rav Osher Weiss, Rav Psachya Fried and Rav Binyomin Cohn, who have all visited the OU and delivered shiurim and divrei hisorerus.”
Rav Finkel said he was overwhelmed meeting all the rabbis who toil on behalf of the Jewish people to ensure that they are supplied with kosher food. As Rabbi Grossman rightly noted, “The gathering was an inspiration for all who attended.”
