Great Teachers of OU Torah (#3 in a Series): Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks

OU Torah features many rabbis and quite a few “Rabbi Doctors” but only one contributor bears the title “Rabbi Lord.” Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks is an internationally-acclaimed educator, who served for 22 years as Chief Rabbi of the British Commonwealth.

Rabbi Sacks is the author of more than two dozen books, many of which are available through OU Press. These include Covenant & Conversation on the parsha – of which volumes for Genesis and Exodus are so far available – and The Koren Sacks Siddur, renowned for the scholarship and insight of Rabbi Sacks’ commentary, along with the siddur’s accuracy, translation and innovative design. Rabbi Sacks also provides the translation for such works as the Tisha B’Av service in The Koren Mesorat HaRav Kinot.

In Rabbi Sacks on the Parsha on OU Torah, the former Chief Rabbi addresses timely questions in his own incisive and eloquent fashion. Throughout 5774, Rabbi Sacks is focusing on issues pertaining to the theme of leadership in general and what the parsha can teach us about Jewish leadership in particular. Check it out and see why Rabbi Sacks is considered one of the most original thinkers in the Jewish world today.
