Irene has come and gone. Hopefully, most of you came through relatively unscathed. As the storm swept up the eastern seaboard over a Shabbos and Sunday, we received grateful feedback for the Shabbat Protocols in Case of a Hurricane that appear on our web site. Originally produced by Rabbi Kenneth Brander while at the Boca Raton Synagogue and reflecting the halachic input of Rav Hershel Schachter, this document is just one of dozens of resources to be found on the OU website, www.ou.org. While we try to publicize such features on an as-needed basis, it’s good to know that zmanim, a shul directory, a mikva directory, and many other resources are a click away. If you’re not familiar with what can be found on ou.org, it’s well worth your time to take a tour and find out.
