Donate to the Har Nof Fund
A week ago we awoke to the horror of a massacre in Har Nof: four men who never returned home from shacharit, and a selfless police officer who gave his life to save others. Now their families must face the future without their beloved husbands and fathers. Funds are being collected by a number of organizations for the purpose of helping their widows to raise, educate and marry off their children with dignity, and we respectfully encourage gifts toward that goal.
One fundraising effort in particular may be most worthy of immediate support due to the anonymous benefactors who have pledged to match all contributions made before Shabbat, Parshat Vayeitzei, up to $1 million.
Donations will be paid directly into an account administered by Rabbi Nissan Kaplan, a well-known rav in Har Nof, who, together with Rabbi Mordechai Rubin, mara d’atra of the shul where this tragedy took place, will disburse the funds to the families of the dead and injured.
Click here to donate by credit card or by check. Gifts can be earmarked for specific families or made to the general fund. All gifts are tax deductible in the United States as they are being made through a registered 501(c)3 charity.
Tizku L’mitzvot!
P.S. This fundraising effort is being led by Mr. Ira Zlotowitz, a New Jersey businessman who released a letter with more detailed information about how funds are being collected and distributed. View letter by Rabbi Rubin.
