The terrible news from Bikat Ha'yarden this morning made writing a shiur today very difficult.

Can we continue daily routine?

Should we?

Must we? - There is no simple answer.

Do we just sit and cry? - No other emotion seems possible.

Before this week's abridged shiur, I would like to add a tefilah -
a perek from Tehillim which I hope is appropriate: MASKIL L'ASAF (perek 74):

Why, O God, do You forever ignore us, Why do You fume Your anger at the flock that You tend?

Remember Your people that You made yours long ago, Your own tribe that You redeemed....

Signs no longer appear for us, there is no longer any prophet, no one among us knows how long.

Till when, O God, will the enemy profane, will Your adversary forever revile Your name?

Why do you hold back Your hand, Your right hand...

Remember this, how the enemy defiles Your name.

Do not deliver Your dove to the wild beast; do not forget forever Your depressed ones.

Remember your covenant!

For the dark places are full with lawlessness.

Let not the downtrodden turn away disappointed, let the poor and needy praise Your name.

Rise, O God, champion Your cause, Remember that you are blasphemed by corrupt men all day.

Do not forget the shouts of Your foes, the din of your enemies that ascends all the time.

[Tehillim 74]
